Getting SocEnts Funded

Happy New Year!  I hope 2012 is off to a great start for all of you and that you are in a good flow.  Things are trucking along here at Esse Law with clients closing funding rounds and starting new ventures.  It promises to be an eventful year!

As I see it in my practice daily, social entrepreneurs face the same two biggest challenges as any startup: acquiring talent and capital.  These days, we know there is talent out there just waiting to be connected to the right project.  And slowly there are even agencies springing up to source talent for social enterprises specifically.

Funding is still a big challenge.  So recently, when I happened to learn of a comprehensive (and growing) list of funding sources for SocEnts, I had to share.  Enjoy!
